Agression / Spaying

Question
Our 5 month old german sheperd is fearful around strangers.  She barks non stop when someone new comes into our household, while on walks around other people, at obedience class, etc.  Now she is trying to bite at strangers and other dogs too.  The advice of having strangers give her treats does not work, as she ends up "nipping /biting at them, even after she has taken several treats from them.  Will she continue to be aggressive - like this is her trait?  Would spaying her help with the aggression?  She is fine around our family and our other two dogs.

Answer
Hi,  No Spaying will not change that behavior.  What you have is called a fear biter and normally comes from genetics unless the dog has been through some serious abuse.  Where did you get the dog, how old was she and did you get to meet the parents when you got her?  Let me know and I might be able to give you more advice.
