Is my GSD growing too fast

I have a GSD who just weighed in at 90 lbs on his 9 month birthday.  I haven't measured his height but the vet said he is definitely not fat.  His father was 95 lbs full grown.  Is my pup growing too fast?

Most likely yes, and it is the worst possible thing for a GSD's joints.  At least they seldom are obese too.  If he is still on puppy chow, start switching to adult chow immediately working it in until it is all adult chow in a week.  Those that know large breeds best, the guide and assistance dog schools, all make an early switch to adult chow to avoid hip problems.
