female shepherd attacking our other female

Hi we have 2 female german shepherds abby is 3, and nyko is 5 they get a long pretty good. However abby does attack nyko when we come into a room, or the front door opens. It seems like a jealousy thing. But tonight the fight got worse abby ended up with her eye torn apart. Abby starts all the fights and Nyko seems to always come out ok. I am so scared that our son will end up between them, or another child. Is there anything I can do apart from getting rid of one. We love them both deerly, and they are excellent around us and others. ????? Please help us.

This is a pack order issue.Go to Alpha Boot Camp (type into your browser) read it and use everything they say. It'll change your life and your dogs. Also exercise is absolutely crucial. If you are not walking these dogs every day. start now. Twice per day,. briskly at heel and with packs for nice long walks. Several times a week they should be working/playing/running until their tongues hang out. Do not reward them or pet them simply for being dogs. THey should earn their food and their praise, sit for food EVERY time, sit for petting EVERY time. sit before being allowed in or out of a door. GEtting them involved in obedience classes is something you will never regret. Get your pack in order and all will fall into place. This would need to be done whether you had one dog or fifty.
