Question
I have a female GSD will be 5 months 4/28/09, she eats about 5 cups a day of IAMS puppy food, but litterally wolfs in down in about 1 minute. she is fed at 6:30 am and 5:30 pm my working hours, is that good for her and she is always biting at our 8 yr old corgi, wont leave her alone, but its not really agressive

Answer
Hi Beth,

Most dogs will eat their whole meal quite quickly.  So this is normal.  How is her weight, can you feel her ribs?  If so, she is the correct weight, but right now she may be going through a growth spurt and need more calories.  I would increase her food slightly for the evening meal and see how she does.  Do not let her get overweight!   Another consideration - what are her stools like?   Are they firm and formed?  If not, then you should see your vet and take a fresh stool sample with you.  Get her checked for worms etc.

Biting at the corgi is normal play behavior, especially if not aggressive.  When the corgi has had enough he will "teach her a lesson" and the pup will know when to cool it or not bite as hard.  Let them work it out, they have to establish a pecking order between themselves.  Your corgi I am sure can handle itself.
