German Sheperds feet

I have just got a sheperd from someone he is full blooded I have the papers. The dog has seven toes on his back feet. The person I got him from said he was told by the breeder that that was a sign of the pure blood line. Have you ever seen this or heard about this? I was told the dog came from Germany I dont know if that info helps. Thanks for the help. JOHNNIE REAMES

I truly have NEVER heard of having 7 toes to make it a purebred or from especially to come from Germany?
Germans would not send a dog like that over to us.  At least the ones I know would not.
This is a genetic problem with the dog, spay or neuter and forget about the lines, love your pet as it is 5 or 7 toes.
