QuestionSasha is a 6-year-old dachshund. I have noticed that when I take her outside to potty, she will find rocks and put them into her mouth. Once when I wasn't looking, she managed to get one into her mouth and acted as if to chew it. Of course, I immediately took it out of her mouth and told her "No!" Can you tell me what she's up with her behavior? I can tell you that she has doggie bones that she does chew. Thank you for any insight toward her behavior!
AnswerSorry it took me so long but I have been asking others if they had a clue. I have never seen this before and neither has anyone else I have checked around with! I do not blame you for being concerned as it would be bad if she swallowed one. I suggest that you try posting the question on the dachsie bulletin board or on a site where you can ask a vet or call your vet and ask.
