QuestionI have a short haired Daschund. About 3 weeks ago he scratched above his eye. It healed however it is now black all around his whole eye. Is this common ? should I be concerned?. He has been lethargic in the last 2 days and i am concerned. He is 10 yrs old
AnswerBecause of his age, I would take him to the vet. Even though it looks healed, it could have some irritation or other problems. The lethargic would have me very concerned so I would definitely get to the vet office. I hope he is okay and give him a hug for me - most of mine are seniors and I have a special place in my heart for them all!
