Question
My 9 month old bulldog wont let me clean his ears or his folds w/o attempting to bite me. he squirms and wont sit still..and runs away from me...but then he's back for more petting 5 minutes later . do you have any tips or tricks up your sleeve that will help make this easier for the both of us ?

Thanks !

Answer
People tend to go over board with hygiene. This shouldn't need to be done more than once a week, maybe not even that often for ears if he's not having problems and doesn't have a lot of build up.

You might try getting this accomplished while he's resting. You'd be surprised what you can get away with on a sleeping Bulldog.  At least make your cleaning a random thing, not at a specific time or day and never in the same place. Like if you clean his ears in the bathroom, he'll know immediately what he's there for no matter what time you do it.

Don't chase him down to do anything. Just let it go and try again later.
