marking his territory

I have a 3 year old male. He bites and chews on himself all the time. Why? I am feeding him royal canine. I also want to neuter him, is it ok that he is 3 years old? Will the neutering stop him from peeing in my house? Thanks for all the help.

It's absolutely OK to neuter your 3 yr. old male. I neutered a 7 yr. old last November without any problems at all. The biting and chewing is probably just an anxiety thing and I'm betting neutering will help a great deal with that.

As far as the marking goes, it may not put an end to it but it will definitely be an improvement.
