Sorry to bother you

Question
Hi,

I'm sorry to keep bothering you, but you seem like the best expert on the panel. Everyone apart from you and Norm have given me these answers like they don't care too much, so I THANK you for all the time you put into this, you are very selfless!

After searching last night in the adjoining Golf Course which backs onto our back fence, we have still found no trace of the kittens. However we have a house that is being constructed next door and there are heaps of elevated piles of bricks, empty pipes and plastic containers and so on there. This morning there was a workman there and when the cat came to get her breakfast she was watching the workman next door like a hawk and seemed very anxious.

She disappears for most of the day and night, which also gives me hope, along with the anxious behaviour, that the kittens aren't dead. She was only a small cat, so there would only be 1 or 2 kittens at the most. I will continue searching for them, and try next door when I get home.

She has been sleeping outside somewhere, I don't know where, as we do not want to force her inside at the moment, and take her away from her babies.

PS I read your profile, you seem to be a real Cat Lover! This is only my first cat, and because we rescued her from the brink of starvation and death (someone abandoned her, which is also why her growth I believe has been stunted), I want her own little kittens to have a healthy start to life and grow properly..

Thanks for all your help so far...!

Laura

Laura --
let's make this easy because I am now so caught up in this story I really want to find out what happens!  I can't even begin to figure out the difference in time zones but I am going to give you two email addresses you can use and you can just write me directly.
At work (9-5 or so Eastern Standard Time) you can reach me at iris_tanner@putnam.com. My other email address is purrform@tiac.net.

I am willing to bet that the kittens are somewhere in the house next door. They can't be too far away. Can you go in there with a flashlight and search around for likely places? It is probably a good idea to get them out of there as soon as possible as they could easily get hurt in the construction process.
