what kind of breed is my cat?

what kind of cat is Merlin? He is gray/black striped with just a hint of orange around his under-side. He has three rows of black circular dots on his belly. Both front and back paws are web-footed, the front ones more so. His claws come out of the side of the toe. He has little tufts of hair that stick up from his ears, maybe a half an inch from the tip. Very long whiskers, a wide-opening mouth, with remarkable "fangs". As for personality... he is very rambunctious, climbing, shredding, hiding, attacking out of nowhere, loves to bite and scratch, though not very rough. We have some of those plastic balls with the bell inside, and if I roll it across the floor, he will actually fetch it and bring it back so that I can throw again. He's loveable when he wants to be, but also holds a grudge. You know he's upset when he flattens his ears out, but he may wait 30 minutes to attack you.
Other than a monster that has wrapped his claws around my heart, what is he?

it sounds like you have a mainecoon cat. If he is real big then this may be the breed, if not he could jus be regular tabby. all cats vary in size and shape,color. I have seven cats and they all look different.I have a cat that sounds like yours and he is different from others cats but he is still just a tabby.To see if your cat is mainecoon cat, just search the internet and look at pictures and see if they look the same. i hope i answered your question.
