finicky Siamese

Question
Is there any nutritionally wonderful food that my siamese will love? She's a picky eater and needs to be on a 'plan' for a senior-aged cat. She's about 14 yrs. old.

What would you suggest? Currently, she's on adult Science Diet brand.

Hi Bev.  I know how finicky Siamese can be.  Each tends to have their own taste.  I have one that LOVES strawberry ice cream!

I couldn't guarantee you that your Siamese would love them, but Flint River Ranch, Wellness, Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul, and Nutro Natural are among the best foods.  They all come in senior formulas. Since they're not full of artificial flavors to cover the taste of grains and byproducts, most cats prefer them over lower quality brands.  Nutro Natural is easiest to find, and Flint River Ranch is probably the most difficult.  

You can also try drizzling some juice from tuna packed in water (not oil) on her food to make it more tempting.  It's not harmful.  Just don't feed her the tuna meat itself on a regular basis, as this can result in many deficiencies.
