Cats and hair

Question
I have a 4 month old kitten and she is obsessed with my hair. She always wants to get in my hair and slightly claw at it. She doesn't hurt me and she is purring the whole time, but it is annoying. And she will not take no for an answer. No matter how many times I swat her, she comes back and tries to get at my hair. Why does she do this? Was she taken from her mother too soon?

Yes, I suspect she was taken from her mother too soon.  She will eventually outgrow most of that, but she may always like to do it now and then.  It gives her comfort.  Just like a pacifier for a baby gives comfort.  Let her do it now and then till it gets annoying, then either put her in a different room, or put your hair up in a pony tail, or on top of your head.  Good luck.  Hugs,  Barb
