cat likes/dislikes my whistling?

Hi Lisa, this might seem like a strange question: I have a cat and when I start whistling, she reacts to it by climbing on me, meowing loudly all the time until I stop, coming close to my mouth, circling me, I was wondering why she does this, whether she wants me to stop, or to continue, or if it is hurting her ears or something. I'm really curious about the answer. thanks in advance, Victoria

its really so simple it seems like a wrong answer. the whistling is high pitched noise.......and it HURTS!!! so stop doing it. just like if you sing , your cat might react the same way. i have a cat who cannot stand the note combinations in the song Amazing Grace. so i dont sing it around her.
