How long can I leave my cat alone while I'm on vacation provided I leave enough food and water and a clean litter box?

It's not recommended. You see cats could get sick, could get hot for the cat{do not leave open your windows because of your house safety}. And they could drink something that is not safe for them. This is why your vet may know places to bring a cat like hotels. Good luck and sorry
