Why did my kitten die??

My kitten was 7 weeks old and was acting fine when i left for work and when my fiace picked me up he told me she had died and was bleeding from month and was like having a sezurie....he was playing with her when this happened. Could it be from her paretnts getting into a fight and she got some internal bleeding or was it something else? please email me the answer....thanks

I am SO sorry for you, what a horrible thing to come home to. Could she have fallen somehow? I know cats are supposed to always land on their feet and all that, but it's a myth. They can fall and suffer head and internal injuries and go into shock very quickly and die.  Another possibility is that she might have swallowed some sort of foreign object that damaged her stomach or esophagus -- you would be amazed at how often things like this happen.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head without more information as to exactly what was going on at the time. It doesn't sound like anything you should be blaming yourself for. Frankly, I am surprised that your fiance did not rush her to the nearest emergency room vet. They probably wouldn't have been able to save her but they would have been able to tell you what happened. But maybe he was in shock too.

If you decide to get another kitten, please get an older one. A 7 week old kitten is really too young to be away from its mother. It needs that extra time to grow in a safe environment under its mother's guidance.
