Question
i have two persian cats. one is 6 months old (male) and another one is only 4 months old (female). if i want to prevent my cats from breeding, should i castrate the male or the female or both? when is the suitable time to do that? can i wait after the 1st pregnancy before i do that?

Answer
Hi Shannyn,

To prevent breeding it doesn't matter which one is neutered first. Just make sure one is done. The male can be done right now. The female can be done in another month. And yes, you can wait after the first pregnancy but you don't have to.
I would suggest getting both done though. It makes a quieter and safer cat household. Good luck.
