My pregnant cat got outside!

My cat was preganant and I'm unsure about the due date.Shegot outside and just came home 3 days later.She doesnt seem to be pregant and lost her belly she is no longer fat.She is licking her private area alot and meowing at the door alot.If she had the kittens outside will she bring them back home and should I try to go out to find them possible follow her to bring them home?

Does she usually go out? I mean will she know her way home if you let her out again? I would not want you to let her out again if she can't.If she can, then I guess what you suggest may work. She may bring them back in at last. If the kittens were around the house you should hear them crying for food. Walk around - go to otehr people's yards, check hidden places like garages, behind and under things.  But I do have to warn you that cats who have a first litter ofetn aren't great mothers and if she is very young, the kittens may not have even made it. Its hard to say. Last point I must make, please don't risk this again. Please have your cat spayed as soon as possible; please call your vet, tell him what has happened and schedule a date. I can't stress this enough.
