my male cat was sitting on my chair and when he got up there was a huge puddle under him. it was not urine. there was so much of it. it just smelled like water. he has been spayed since he was a kitten. what could this be??

Hi Sarah,

It most likely was urine. He most likely is sick. Urine can have no odor if very diluted. Have him checked by the vet and tell him exactly what he did and how it smelled. At his age he is susceptible to a lot of diseases. He could have Thyroid disease. He could have Diabetes. Your vet will be able to see what's wrong. Make sure you clean the area with an enzymatic cat urine cleaner so he won't be tempted to reuse the area. Good luck and let me know what happens.
