mixing an older cat with a kitten

our 5 yr old cat is very mean to our kitten and im afraid he is going to hurt the kitten, im wondering what i can do to make this an easiergreeting.

Try following those steps. Get something called Feliway Comfort Zone. This mimics cat happy pheromones. This will help.

The biggest thing that helps will be time. There will be some hissing and posturing. But things should settle down with a little time. Make sure you give extra attention to the older guy. This will also help. Good luck.
