male cat smell

my year old neutered cat smells strongly-not urine smell -it's a glandular smell-i can wash him and the next day the smell is there-very strong-what is this and how to i neutalize the smell?

Two possibilities come to mind: (1) He may have a kidney infection or (2) He may need his anal glands expressed.  Either way you should take him to your vet for a check up.

To clean the smell you need an enzyme based cleaner which is specifically for pet stains and pet odors (available at mot pet supermarkets or farm stores).

You can also neutralize the smell in the air with an ozone based air purifier.
