Is cat pregnant again?

Hi. I adopted a cat today due to her owners moving quite far away and they didn't want to distress her. She gave birth to her second litter around 10 weeks ago. About 1/2 hr ago I noticed a couple of lumps (bigger than golf balls) in her abdomen. Is she pregnant again or is it a build up of milk. Many thanks

She could very well be pregnant again.  Often about 4-5 weeks after a litter is born, a female can come into what is called a "lactation" heat.  If she is bred, she can conceive.  So, she very well may be pregnant.  To find out for sure, you can take her to your vet.

At the earliest opportunity once the kittens are all weaned, I would get her spayed.
