More kittens?

Question
My cat gave birth to one kitten. It has been 20 hours since the first one was born and nothing... She appears to be fine but she is still bleeding [a drop here and there] and cleaning  her area. I know she ate her placenta sooooo I was wondering if I could check for more kittens? or if the bleeding is normal? or generally what should be my next action?

Answer
Hi Leo,

Your next action should be to take her to the vet to make sure there are no more kittens. This is the safest and smartest thing to do. If this is her first litter then I would say maybe she has only one kitten. But most cats have a few more than one. Take her to the vet. You'll feel better that you did. Good luck.
