Dosage Frontline Plus for Cats//Kittens

Question
I have a rag tag rescue out in the country. Have many cats//kittens. I usually buy the large dog size Revolution, put in a vile and use a 1ml syringe to get the correct dosing .25 for kittens and .4 for adults and a wee lil drop for tiny kittens. Recently someone gave me a whole 6 pack of Frontline Plus of the large dogs size. I was wondering if any of you might know the correct dosing per lb of body wt, or the amount to give a kittens and amount to give adult cats. Can't pass up this opportunity for free flea med as every little bit helps to take care of all the critters!
Also would like to know how you rate Frontline Plus vs Revolution.
TYVM!

Answer
Hi Cindi,

I have never split Revolution. I have always used Frontline Plus. Here's a site that has the formula for the breakdown for Advantage, Frontline and Frontline Plus. http://www.lisaviolet.com/cathouse/advantage.html

The only cats I use Revolution on is for some ferals outside. Two of them had ear mites. Works great for that. If your rescues don't have mites then I would stick with the Frontline Plus. And unless the rescues keep going out I wouldn't bother with the Plus. That's only if there are ticks in the area. Good luck.
