hi christine i have just got a five week old cat she is eating solid food but dosen't seem to be intrested in the milk or water some people say dont give cow milk and others say do could you please tell me what i should be giving her and if she dosen't lap what to do

This is very normal and no problem at all as long as she is eating canned food. Milk is no good anyway; you should only use special kitten formula and/or kitten/cat milk, never regular milk as it can cause diarhhea which can be fatal to a kitten if it goes too far. As for water, often kittens who are eating canned food may not go for water - they are getting moisture enough from the canned food and its not a problem.  Keep water available and she will drink when she wants and if you later start giving her some dry food, she will drink more. If she starts eating mostly dry food and doesn't drink then there may be an issue but I doubt that will happen. They need more water with dry food. But she is just fine as is with the situation you describe..
