Cat sore on mouth

Hi, My cat is about 3 years old and i just noticed that he has a small sore like a wort or a scab on the corner of his mouth.  I was wondering if this is normal or if i should wait it out and see if it goes away or bring him to the vet.

Hello Charmaine,

In all honesty it could be anything. Without actually seeing it, it is impossible to tell you what it may be and if it is something to be concerned about. Is it an open scab? is it weeping or bleeding? is he rubbing his paw against it?

As a nurse I would always suggest that anything 'unusual' be checked out by a vet to be on the safe side. This could be something or nothing, but without having it looked at you will not know.
