Question
I have two cats, bella and sophie. bella has ibs and was put on science diet prescription z/d food.  she used to be on natural balance ultra cat food before i switched. i gradually switched their foods over to science diet over a 10 day period. i still mix up sophie's because i noticed she was been throwing up her food every few days. she is healthy and has no problems with the natural balance food. it was just easier for me since their food bowls are next to each other's. should i switch sophie back to natural balance or just keep mixing the two foods? i was not sure if the science diet upsets her stomach or not. thanks for your help. and i give them the greenies treats and was wondering if i should stop incase bella is allegric to something in those treats as well although they love those treats. bella has not had any problems with the science diet.

Answer
Hi Molly, The Prescription z/d food smells AWFUL and has fair to poor ingredients.  I would put Sophie back on the Natural Balance as it is much better and good quality ingredients.  Also, I would give both cats very Few Greenies.  They are mostly starch and are good for the teeth.  This is not needed on a daily basis.  Give the Greenies 2-3 x per week ....

I would place both girls on the NuVET Feline formula -  Mix this into some Wet canned food each day - just 1/2 teaspoon for each girl.  NuVET is great for IBS cats as it helps with digestion.
NuVET is one of the BEST kitty supplement/Vitamins in the USA.

Oil - If you can find some PURE Salmon oil, place 1/4 teaspoon in the food every OTHER day...
So good for skin, coat , vomiting, hips and joints.
YOU can find pure salmon oil at health food stores or some pet stores.

BEST wishes...
HOPE this helps ....
