QuestionWe have a basic cat who has a bladder infection and the vet gave us some antibiotic pills for our cat to take. Well the thing is we cannot get any down him. Both my husband and I try and hold him and use one of those long devices to get the pill down his throat, but to no avail. We have tried butter...no way. put it in some wet found..no way,milk..no way. We can not get these pills down this cat. Any ideas. Oh, he ate the wet food with the pill in it and threw it all up. he also foams at the mouth when ever the pill gets remotely close to his mouth. Any ideas, please help.
AnswerI had the exact same problem recently. I spoke to my vet and got another medicine in liquid form. If the medicine is unpleasant and your cat will not take it then you have to get your vet to help with a medicine that he will take. Call the vet at once.
