Early Rising Cat

Question
In the last couple months I've adopted a Domestic Shorthaired Tabby named Mia. to the shelter's knowledge the cat is 2 years old. She is spayed and is the most ideal cat you could ask for...until it is 1 AM. she runs through the house and then jumps on the bed and aggressively begins to cuddle in your face and nipping on your hand to be petted. We give her lots of attention during the day, but the night is the same. Something needs to give. We love her very much but she needs to learn to sleep through the night HELP!

Answer
The only suggestion, that I can make, is to train her to stay away at night, by closing your bedroom door. If she bangs outside the door, then put her in another room at night where she can not get to your door.
Give her a lot of attention before you go to bed, but make your bedroom off limits to her at all times. This means to keep your bedroom door closed at all times.
I can not think of any other way to train her to stop her annoying ways.

Good luck,
Barb
