Mother Cats teets

Question
My cat had kittens like 2 weeks ago. Something killed them and now my cat's teets are swelling up. Is there something at home I can do or do I have to take her to the vet?

Answer
It would be best to have the vet take a look as she could get mastitis which is very painful and can turn to abscesses.  He will be able to suggest something to dry the milk up and if he thinks there may be infection he can treat it for her.
