Hi Barbara,
How are you ?
my question is; do female cats minstruate(do they get periods) coz i've
seen few drops of blood on her hair around the anus area.
it happened once only, she is Persian of 10 month old age.
some people told me get her fixed or spayed, I don't understand what does that mean ?

I thought that I answered this question a long time ago.
No, cats do not menstruate. However, a drop of blood or so is not usually a cause for great alarm. I have seen it many times.
It is only a problem if it persists or other symptoms occur. If there are other things that appear or if this persists take her to the vet and ask for his advice.
