Hello!  I have two questions for you.  The first one is - how do you keep a litter box from smelling up the house?  I clean it all the time, but there's still that distinct smell and I don't know how to get rid of it!
My second question is - I have a cat that is part Manx.  He is a very pretty gray color and I guess he is called a "riser" because he was bred with a normal cat and a manx, so he has a tail, but it rises onto his back.  Am I able to make him for show?
Answer -
If you cat is not neutered then that is the first step in reducing the odor in your house. An unaltered male will smell very strongly, which is the notice to all the other cats in the world, that he is there and wants a female.
If he is altered, get a product known as PAWIER. It is a vitamin supplement for cats. which also decreases urine odor substantially. Go to www.pawier.com to get it. Also use a deodorant litter with baking soda added.

Any cat can be shown at a cat show in the Household pet class. He would not be eligible for purebred showing. He must have his claws cut (not declawed) be very clean (freshly bathed) and amenable to handling. Then if he is sweet to the judge and pretty, he may win a prize.

Good luck,
Barb

Thank you.  Could you please tell me how I can go about or get started to show my cats?  They both do still have their claws.  I live in Wisconsin (in the Milwaukee area) - are there any areas I can go to around here for show?

Answer
Here are the places on which you may locate shows and the people who put them on. Then get in touch with these people who are in your area and ask them all your questions. They will be glad to help.
