Cat Breeds

Hi Lori McLaughlin:

I am looking for a cat that is very loving, affectionate, follows me all the time like a dog.  What breeds would you recommend ?  

I don't have much time to take care of a dog.

If I have a cold cat that has no emotion, I would probably give it to the shelter or let it run wild in the wood.

I would suggest a ragdoll or ragamuffin.  Both breeds seem to be very attached to their people and want lots of attention.  You may want to reconsider owning a pet, however, because no one can predict the personality of an animal over time.  It would be a shame for a kitty to be put in a shelter or dumped because they don't display the traits someone is looking for.
