Question
I have dog that is a little over a year old. she had puppies a month ago and i thought she might be getting mastitis from the puppies getting their teeth in and her not feeding them.  she acted real weird for a few days.  today i went to check on her and there was a dime size hole in her side above her tities and it look like i could stick my finger in there.  it was kinda deep and oozing some yucky greenish pus out of it.  help i love my doggy and can't afford to take her to the vet.  HELP ME PLEASE.  thank you

Answer
YOU MUST GET HER TO THE VET!  She needs antibiotics ASAP.  Ask family or friend to borrow some money or ask your vet for payment arrangements...this is not something you want to continue to wait on since she has already been sick for a few days.

Clean out the area with warm water and a mild soap.  You can apply Neosporin to the area.  Continue to place warm compresses on the area to encourage drainage...you can soak the towel in epsoms salts as well.
