7 1/2 week old yorkie

I have asked previous questions to you regarding my 3 yorkies.  Out of the 3 one if much smaller than the other two.  She doesn't care to eat the puppy food (Science Diet)I have been giving her.  I have added water, puppy powder supplement with the food and she still won't eat it.  I am currently giving her baby food chicken and beef.  Is this okay and how long is it okay?  Should I be supplementing with anything else? Should I be giving boiled chicken instead?  She weighs only a little over 1 pound.  She is very tiny.

Hi Denise,
If you continue to feed her baby food and chicken she will never want to eat regular puppy food. I would stop the baby food and start giving her just canned puppy growth from Science Diet. Baby food is not balanced for dogs and she will not grow properly if she isn't getting the correct nutrients.

I know that it is easy right now to feed her baby food. I would mix it into the canned food right now and slowly wean her off the baby food after a while.

If you don't do it now, it will be very hard to train her to it later.
I know she is small and this is hard for you but it is very important.
I hope that you can get the canned Puppy Growth and start that right away.

Please let me know how she is doing in a few weeks.
