what are the symptons of mange

my dog is constnatly chewing or digging into her skin. she has like black looking sore spots on her body. i have treated her for fleas and a spray for chewing on her skin... please give me the symptons of mange

There are 2 common types of mange--demodex and sarcoptic.  With both types, hairloss is common as well as secondary skin infection.  Sarcoptic mange is very, very itchy and usually results in crusting of the ear margins.  Demodex mange may or may not be itchy and often results in hairloss around the eyes as well as parts of the body.

You should take your dog to the veterinarian for an examination and diagnosis of the skin problem.  It is likely that your dog has an inhaled allergy (atopy) and possibly a food allergy on top of it.
