what is the best way to keep a great danes ears errect after they have been cropped?

Answer
There are many types of props that are used after the ear crop has healed.  I prefer to wrap a piece of 1" waterproof tape around the ear twice and place a wad of cotton on the concave pinna so that when the second layer of tape covers it, the sticky part of the tape contacts the cotton.  If you then make the ear flap in an arc by packing the cotton, they will stand.  I leave this prop on for 5 days and then take the tape off for 3 days then repeat.
