Question
We just got our first puppy and he just got his second round of shots. He's 9 weeks old and is scheduled to get his next round in three weeks and his last round in 6 weeks.

Is he allowed to play with other vaccinated dogs?

Also we are training him to potty outside, and we live in an apartment complex with common grounds, is this safe for little Destro?

Thank you!

Answer
Hello ketura:  The problem is with Parvo.  The common grounds at your complex are going to be your only choice.  Many times we like you to have the pup potty just in his/her own yard.  When you go to community "poop" areas, the pup can pick up Parvo in other dog's poops.  NOT much you can do because you don't have your own yard.  The first 1-5 months if the time a pup can catch this deadly disease.

YOU can paper-train him in your apartment.  Using wee wee pads is an option.  There is a risk if you use the community potty areas.
Most of the time, your pets will be ok.  There is no guarantee.

He can play with other dogs ...just don't go to any dog parks or doggie daycares.

Have fun with little Destro!
