Question
I have a 5 weak old puppy.I believe he may have worms,is it to early to deworm him.
I need to know when I need to start getting his shots.

Answer
Puppies can be de-wormed as early as 2 weeks. Usually for newborns we recommend de-worming at 2,4 and 6 weeks of age. With regard to vaccines, we recommend giving the first series of vaccines for canine distemper, parvo, etc at 8,12,and 16 weeks of age. For certain breeds such as pitbulls, rotties, dobermans we will carry the vaccines out to 18 weeks because they seem to have a delayed immune response.
