Feline Secretion from Rear End

I have two, spayed female cats. One cat was spayed 5 months ago. Occasionally, she drags her behind along the carpet after using the litter box. Tonight, she left a translucent yellow substance that was semi-solid and sticky on the carpet. Should I be concerned for her health?

I would be concerned for your carpet!
It sounds as if she is having some problems with her anal glands, which isn't an abnormal thing, is not a common thing with cats.
This is something a vet has to look at and address.
He will look at her glands and can tell if she has an infection in one of them. It does happen.
So call your vet and make an appointment.
