Shitzu Male Dog Skin Problem

Question
I have a 3 year old male shitzu. He is only 9lbs and a smaller full breed. He
has developed several small pimple looking bumps on his skin. They have a
tick looking center. They almost resemble a worm like piece of black skin
coming out of the bump. I try to pinch them and he must find it very painful.
We thought it would just go away and instead they are multiplying. Any
suggestions? We love this little dog!

Hi Teri:  Can you take this little one to the vet.  They can do a skin inspection of the areas you mentioned.  What you described doesn't sound like an allegic reaction.

Your best bet is to make a visit to the vet.
