Question
My one cat starting laying around the house, the vet told us he was dehydrated and had an infection, We got the infection taken care off, But now my 2 other cats don't seem to be drinking a lot eather, they may go to the water bowl once or twice through out the day, They get canned wet food twice a day, as well as hard food throughout the day. I have been feeding rexy water off of my fingers but he still isn't dinking a lot. I have noticed that all three are not going to the bathroom much eather. The other two cats have been taked to the vet a couple months ago, and we were told that they were fine. Is there any other way I can try to get them to drink? They were all drinking and going to the bathroom rine, until the hotter weather came.

Answer
Hi Kay:  Can you put some ice cubes in the water bowel?  They may like the coldness of the ice???

Also, place a bowel of water in every room of the house.  It may help them to remember to drink.

You can increase the wet food and add a few teaspoons of water.  You can cut down on the dry food for a few weeks.

Hope this helps you.

Also, a good supplement for cats is NuVET Plus / feline powder.
You can add this to the wet food 1 time per day.  Great Immune System Booster for your cats....Read about NuVET for Felines here:
Not sold in stores..

Go to the E-store and see the cat formula of NuVET Plus.

Thanks for your question!  Good luck and I will pray for some cooler temperatures.
