My daschund is approx 4 yrs. old (we found her she had been abandoned) She has the most foul odor even though she gets a bath reg. it is horrific!! The whole house smells. She seems healthy otherwise - it almost smells like a wet dog just alittle worse - you can bathe her and by the next day she stinks again especially when she has been in the pet taxi - her private part stinks also along with the other foul odor coming from her skin - not the ears & she does have very bad breath.

Gayle - she may have yeast.  This  will make a dog or person smell awful...
I bet that is what is going on!

Here is the answer for your problem:

Get some yogurt, the Activia kind with the active cultures in it.  Give her 1/4 a cup per day for 3 weeks.  See if it helps her get rid of the yeast. This should help a bunch!
