Small subcutaneous lump found on cat

Question
Hi,

I was petting my cat this evening and noted a small, about 3/4 cm round, movable lump under her skin around her rib cage, on her R side, about midway between her spine and side.  I haven't noticed anything like this before.  She has been acting fine- no appetite changes, no changes in activity as far as I can tell.  I wasn't sure if this was something I need to go get checked out?  Or something I can keep an eye on.  She is just over 5 yo but she is still my baby- please help!

Answer
I am not at my home computer to give you all sorts of great advice on how to keep your cat healthy - maybe even for 34 years - the record.

Do not panic. The lump could be nothing more than a small cyst. do your best to measure it, record its size and location. Then follow the 7 keys to health that are in other all experts answers from me. Feed a raw meat diet, no grains, no dry food. Give no vaccines. Find an integrative veteriniarian with whom to work.  www.AHVMA.org. If none are near you, many of the homeopathic veterinarians (www.theAVH.org) can consult by phone or email. You are right that now is the time to improve health to prevent this from growing if it is a tumor. Also buy the healthy Animal's journal or at least print out the early warning signs of illness from my site or another all experts answer. Work to eliminate those. Use no chemicals, including flea prevention.
