Question
QUESTION: Hi, my male Golden retriever has a rash around his genitals. Do you have any idea of what it could be? We took him to the vet and they gave us a spray but it doesnt seem to help. He's had it since last year during November. The vet suggested changing his food so we did. I'm starting to really get worried because now for the most all he does is lay around and he is generally an active dog. If you have any suggestions or thoughts it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.

ANSWER: Hi Jennifer: Can you tell me how old your golden boy is?  Also, what are you feeding him ( brand)?
Let me know and I will help..

Thanks,

Marie Peppers

QUESTION: He is 3 years old and we are feeding him Iams Large Breed. The doctor suggested we take him off of what he was on before which was Proplan. I am really starting to get worried because it seems to be getting worse. I just found out from my sister that he has had this rash off and on since he was a puppy. Do you have any thoughts on what it could be or what I could do to help him?

Answer
Yes Jennifer!  Glad you did see the vet for some help - Here are my suggestions for some natural choices:
We can fix this boy up!!!  Worth a try!

Number ONE!!!  Off the Iams ASAP... Filled with junk fillers....
Here is what I want you to find- If you can't let me know - You can  find this in a pet store:
I know you thought Iams is good, but it is not..

When you find Innova Evo or Wellness Core - pick one of them... Mix it with the Iams for about 10 days - Do a 50/50 mix of the two.
After about 10 days please go to the full 100% NEW FOOD..  The two I gave you are 99.9 % grain free.

Please buy some probiotic for this boy - here is an example of a very good one - Please give him 2 per day for the first week and then down to 1 per day for the next 30 days.  Excellent for his skin and the possible overgrowth of Yeast bacterias in his skin and blood system.
