Cat swallowing pin

Question
Hi there. I have a 6 month old kitten. On Friday, I noticed a pile of pins in front of this travel map I have yet to hang. After replacing the pins there were 3 missing. I searched the house as thoroughly as I could, but they are so tiny, they could be anywhere..Monday, I took my cat to the vet. He has been acting normal, no vomitting, not lethargic etc. He has been his usual hyper self. I checked his litter box for anything abnormal, checked his mouth etc..Anyway, the vet said if he indeed swallowed them, they would have been passed by now, or if they were stuck, he would show signs. I guess I am just worried that they could be swimming around in his body, but that can't be possible right? They either came out or if they are still inside, it's because they are stuck, which would make him react to that. I know an X-ray would ease my mind, but they are quite expensive to get if I am over-reacting. It's been almost 6 days since I found the pins and he is still acting normal. Just wanted a second opinion I guess. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Melissa - No, I don't think there are any pins in his belly.  He would have been vomiting blood and pooping some blood.
Don't worry, sounds like he will make it ..

Next time - give a big tablespoon of canned pumpkin - it will coat his belly and intestines - as the Foreign object moves down the digestive system..

BEST wishes to you..
