Nerve damage in cat

18 15:03:04

Question
One of our cats was hit by a car a week ago, he has made a good recovery with the exception of one front let in which he has no feeling.  Our vet suspects damage to the radial nerve.  Is there anything that you could recommend that may aid the possible healing please?

Answer
He is one lucky cat. Radial nerve damage however, is permanent. The problem isn't that he can't feel, but they drag the leg around and open huge sores that way. Most of these pets end up with a partial to full amputation of the affected leg.

There isn't anything else that I know of that you can do. You could try acupuncture- that is probably the only modality that might help.
