dog on prednisone

Question
My dog has been on Prednisone for a month now.  She has been weaned off of it slowly.  How long before this is out of her system?  She is hungry and thirsty and restless and wakes me up continually.  She went off of it 5 days ago.

Usually it takes a few days to clear it out completely, possibly a month. Since I don't know why your dog was on the Pred. to begin with, there may still be a problem going on that caused her to be on it in the first place.

You need to contact your treating vet and let him know of this issue.
