black widow bite in cat

Question
my cat may have been bit by a black widow. in worst case scenario, how long does she have to live? what can i do?

Answer
Symptoms begin within 8 hours of the bite.Signs of the black widow spider bite include regional tenderness and numbness. Muscle pain (severe) and cramping of the muscles of the chest, abdomen, back, and other large muscles occur. Abdominal rigidity without tenderness is a classic sign. Seizures are possible. Respiration may be compromised because of the abdominal cramping. Muscle rigidity decreases with time followed by muscle paralysis. Increased blood pressure and heart rate may be seen. Death is caused by respiratory or cardiovascular collapse.  Death is common in cats. I do not how long they take to die, but I wouldsay within a day.

Treatment with the specific antivenom can turn them around, though it may take a month to recover fully.
