My chihuahua develops at least once a year laringitus for which the vet prescribes an antibiotic. Is it possible to give her aspirin/dispirin to alleviate the pain during the early stages?

Aspirin can upset the stomach and is not labeled for use in dogs.  If she doesn't have any history of intestinal problems or kidney or liver disease, you could try a very small dose...1/2 of an 81 mg BABY ASPIRIN for 10 pounds...if she is 5 pounds, just give 1/4 of a tablet...this can be given twice a day.
